THE KNOWLEDGE IN ISLAM

It is very important to us

إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ ِللهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِيْنُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ

شُرُوْرِ اَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّأَتِ اَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَّهْدِ اللهُ فَلاَ مُضِلَّ

لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ، اَمَّا بَعْدُ

First of all, give thanks to Allah who always give us a miracle until we can feel the amazing in this world.

And don’t forget to send to our prophet Muhammad SAW, who bring us from the darkness to the lightness, from the bad moral to the good moral, from the bad character to the good character and many other.

Talk about the knowledge in ISLAM.

Allah SWT., says in Holy Quran

اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ، “فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَّ

اللهُ”، “يَرْفَعِ اللهُ الَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْا مِنْكُمْ وَالَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَ

دَرَجَاتٍ”، “يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْا لِمَ تَقُوْلُوْنَ مَالاَ تَفْعَلُوْنَ”.

“Know with knowledge, that there is no god but Allah” (QS. Muhammad, 19), “Allah will raise those who believe and who learned-people a few degrees (than others)” (QS. Al-Mujadilah, 11), “O those who believe, why do not you realisation what you say” (QS. Al-Shaf, 2)

O..a noble Ikhwatu Iman!

Islam declare him self basicaly as a faith in the one hand and knowledge in the other side. Benefaction without faith will rejected and called hypocricy (maghdhub), and faith without knowledge will lost and called astray (dhâllin).

Therefore, if we pray to Allah to guide us to shiratal mustaqiem, it’s mean to follow the Islamic path with faith and knowledge. As Allah SWT,. says “Know with knowledge, that there is no god but Allah” (QS. Muhammad, 19). Knowledge it’s not prepare only to know what Islam is, how beauty syari’ah is… but also guide us to a strong faith with burhan or reasoning, testimonial, and argument in order to bring Islam as factual and actual need today. In the other side, knowledge coupled with faith as Allah SWT., says “Allah will raise those who believe and who learned-people a few degrees (than others)” (QS. Al-Mujadilah, 11).

To raise Islamic beauty and dignity we should couple faith and knowledge each other. Because al-ilmu –as Syaikh Shalih Utsaimin says, “Al-Ilmu is something we call tools to draw close to Allah, inside it compliments and praise to God”. And beyond that, we do not call it ilmu or at least not required to be assessed.

Eventually, we must realisation our knowledge because Allah Says, “O those who believe, why do not you realisation what you say” (QS. Al-Shaf, 2). God will be very angry to they who not practicized their knowledge.

Let’s pray to Allah so that He leads us into right Islamic path! Amin
